Peskov: Moscow needs more than Washington’s grain promises
MOSCOW, Aug 4 (PRIME) -- Moscow will not take Washington’s words about supporting Russian agricultural exports if it returns to the Black Sea Grain Initiative for granted, President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told PRIME on Friday.
On Thursday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Washington had taken steps to solve problems with delivery and insurance of Russian agricultural products, and that it would continue doing everything necessary for exports of food if Russia returns to the grain deal.
When asked whether Moscow was ready to believe the U.S. officials, Peskov said, “Words are not enough for us.”
